This page explains how this site technically handles visits to its own pages. See What Happens When You Load a Page
Every page on this site is a self-contained file: the text, layout and fonts needed to display it are all part of the page itself and are served from this domain. Fonts are embedded locally rather than loaded from an outside source, and no additional file is fetched from another host while a page is being displayed. The whole site is served as static files through a content delivery network, which handles the technical delivery of each request as the hosting provider.
Know What Visit Data Is Recorded
A small amount of visit data is recorded, but only when a visitor arrives from a search engine. This is what is captured and why:
- Page path — the address of the page viewed, used to count how many times that page was seen.
- Event type — whether the recorded action was a page view or a click, used to separate the two kinds of counts.
- Referring search engine — the name of the search engine the visit came from, used only to attribute the visit or click to that source.
- Outbound button text — the wording of a clicked outbound button, used to count which button was clicked.
This information is used only for counting page views and outbound button clicks. It is not used for any other purpose. To stop a single page view from being counted more than once, a flag is kept in the browser for the current session; it does not persist beyond that session and is not a persistent identifier. No cookies are set, and no other browser storage is used to hold this information.
Follow an Outbound Link
Some pages contain outbound links to third-party sites. Clicking one of these links first sends the request to a path on this domain, which then redirects the browser to the partner site. This first-party redirect step is part of how the click is counted; once the redirect completes, the partner site receives the visitor's request directly from their browser. Whatever happens on that partner site — the records it keeps, the technology it uses — is entirely separate from this page and outside what this page describes.
Recognize What This Site Does Not Have
This site has no forms of any kind, so there is no field where a name, e-mail address or any other personal detail could be typed in. It uses no third-party analytics service; the counting described above happens through this site's own first-party mechanism only. It loads no external subresources, meaning every script, style and font a page needs comes from this domain rather than from an outside host. It offers no contact channel, so there is no address or account to send personal information to through this site.
